SAP Enterprise Portal uses an open architecture. The standards it supports include SOAP, UDDI, XML. The portal has powerful security functions including extensive support of directory services, digital certificates and SSL protocol (Secure Socket Layer). SAP Enterprise Portal is highly scalable and is thus also designed for large numbers of users. Mobile devices are also supported.
